Buy Red Mulberry Trees for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Red Mulberry (Morus rubra), also known as American Mulberry, is a fast-growing native Florida fruit tree valued for its sweet berries, shade, and wildlife benefits. It is an excellent choice for North Florida landscapes, edible gardens, wildlife plantings, and larger home orchards.

In spring, Red Mulberry produces small, inconspicuous flowers followed by elongated berries that change from red to dark purple as they ripen. Fully ripe fruit is sweet, juicy, and delicious eaten fresh from the tree. Mulberries can also be used for jams, jellies, pies, preserves, juice, and other desserts.

Red Mulberry is particularly well suited to Florida conditions. Once established, it is relatively drought tolerant and requires little maintenance. It grows best in full sun for good fruit production but can also tolerate some light shade.

The berries are highly attractive to birds and other wildlife, making Red Mulberry an excellent addition to a wildlife-friendly landscape. Because ripe berries can stain pavement, patios, and driveways, plant the tree where falling fruit will not create a problem.
